McMaster-Carr. Pay attention to their shipping brackets. They are annoying to me, so I always try to max out the order for the bracket I am in.

McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.

Was starting on the rudder/elevator installation and was happily surprised at the new addition in the latest firmware upgrade for my Spektrum DX18 - dual elevators and rudders pre-configured

Gluing on the rudder servos to what looks to be ABS plastic covers - West System and 404 additive ( I think I glued the servo to the cover too.....)

I'm really enjoying using the 7x magnifying monical to do the small soldering jobs..nothing like being 'up-close and personal' with the soldering iron.

I used some larger screws than what was provided and added an additional one in the center. I will have to keep an eye on the ABS covers to see how they hold-up.

            Scott,
            Don't even try.
Those plastic covers will fail in no time. The plastic is very brittle. I was putting one together as you did and it fell off the bench onto my 3/4 PADDED floor and shattered.
The solution is to make a Plywood mount, using the same technique and then glue the cover to the top of the ply. It will hold up forever that way. I ended up getting some larger ones from Somewhere because the ones I had were too brittle.

Thanks Len, one of the covers was cracked at the hood when it came out of the box......I was suspecting an upgrade would be necessary but hadn't seen anyone post a problem with them.......

Rudder Servo covers Re-Dux - with 0.040 G10 and some button head 4-40 to keep the servos in place ( 0.030 G10 across the servo on the inside )
Found some old plastic servo hoods floating around from a long time ago

Rudder controls were updated to Dubro HD control horn (#913) 6-32 socket head screw vs the aluminum standoff that's supplied

My stab cover had some couture issues so out came the WestSystems/Colloidal Silica-406 filler and a syringe/Popsicle stick for the adaptation

                        Clean Scott, real nice.
The rudder horns are the only ones I really thought were bad too. The others seemed to be pretty adequate.

                            Thanks Len,

My box only included one set of the good control horns, which I used on the Elevators....not a big deal since I'm converting the Flaps to top drive with 180 degree servo travel.

Currently having fun with the Zonal saw and Cowl.....

Oops occurrence with the stab attach bolts.....one was a little "stiff" when tighten down and then ....it wasn't. So out came the Dremel tool.......

The control horns for the flaps and ailerons were missing in my box also.
Ordered three sets of Du-Bro #913 to replace the missing parts and the also for the rudders.

If you want to match the kit supplied horns, I think these from Miracle R/C via Graves R/C for us staties are the same:
