    Thanks Stew,
    I was looking around and found those thru HobbyKing......Decided to go with Hangar 9 10-32 Swivel Clevis Horn instead. Main reason is their little bit better quality and fit.

            Bolted the DA170 back on the fuselage and checked the fit....and started with the exhaust system. I decided on the "functional" approach to removing the cowl and cut slots. I think eventually I'll probably make some covers to go over the pipes on the cowl. I did add a 5.7oz carbon cloth to the bottom of the cowl to stiffen it up.

              Excellent job Scott.
              I agonized over that same issue. In the end, I cut holes, but every time I have to pull off the cowl, I kick myself.

                Moving on to the wing / flap modification for top driven flaps for 70-80 degrees deflection ( 145mm travel ) and 180 degrees of servo travel ( to reduce servo current when the flaps are down )
                First thing is the mock-up ....to see if things will fit (the mock-up got epoxied from the DG600 horizontal stab fiberglassing)

                    More Flap servo installation progress
                    0.100 G10 for the cover, 4-40 button head stainless screws to attach everything
                    Button head screws weren't long enough to use a standard lock nut so I improvised by glueing T-nuts to the plate

                      Control Surface Actuators

                      For the Aileron servo connection I used Hanger 9 10-32 Swivel Clevis horns (HAN3615) utilizing the threaded rod. I just threaded/glue it in from the bottom side. As you can see there's some filler at the base. Since I didn't want to look at the threaded rod, I found some thin wall Carbon tube ( 0.235 od/ 0.190 id.), Same for the servo pushrod ( 0.180 od. / 0.109 id) although I did have to run a small round file thru the center to get the 3mm threaded rod to fit.

                      Flap push rods consist of 8-32 thread rod glued into Carbon tubes ( 0.250 od / 0.154 id ) then the 4mm Traxxas Ball links are threaded on. Also a sequence of getting the pushrod length close

                      I using Horizon Dynamite DYN2561 Aluminum servo horns as they have a 15mm position which give me the correct throw for 70 degrees (130mm) of flap
                      The Hitec arms 20 mm gave a 90 degree flap which I may try later on.

                            Bidule Brakes........

                            Well I got my super cool Aviation Concepts brakes in and attempted to order the Aeroworks 8.25" wheels......but found out that they are" out of stock" for an indefinite time frame.

                            Plan B....

                            going to have to manufacture an a disc rotor adapter for the MBS off road skateboard wheels. In the research process I found some really cool carbon rotors......super Bling....
                            Have a set of 200x75 tires on order as the current 200x50 are a little small for the main wheels.

                                Moving on to the Servo Lead "Wrangling" step of the fuselage, I'm using 5/8' wing sockets from TNT cut down a little more than half. (5/8?)
