    Added some reinforcing to the lower rear hatch with some carbon square "rod" that I had on hand. Then added fabric.

        DLE-222 installation / conversion

        Firewall installation
        4 layers of 1/8" Baltic birch glued together with Gorilla wood glue
        Outer layers are 0.90 G10 material - on the original firewall was 0.60 G10.

        West Systems and 404 high strength additive for attachment. 1" triangle stock on the rear side of the firewall.

          The rear of the DLE-222 has some Socket heads sticking out so extra holes are required - with a little fine tuning required.....aka ...Dremel tool.

            I have to wait 4 days for the solvents to boil off before I can spray the Aero-Thane, I put two coats of Insignia White 105 Poly-Tone to where the Omaha Orange is going to be applied.

              Saw Steve P post about the DLE canisters and figured "what the heck" .......I got the DLE-170 tuned exhaust system since I'm going to be dumping two cylinders into one ( at different times thou ) I figured a little more volume would be helpful. I stuck my borescope inside to see what there and its pretty simple 2 chamber design - exhaust goes all the way to the back , exit tube goes all the way to the front with 4 rectangular punched holes partially pushed open ( one side still attached ). Kit comes the a 45 degree exit silicone line that makes positioning easy ( and anti-chaffing )
              Getting the general layout while I wait for the exhaust stubs and other items from K & S in Germany.
              K&S #506 comfort mounts as the Canisters are 75mm in diameter.

              2 spray coats of Poly-Brush on the fabric area then 2 spray coats of Poly-Spray........followed by a little bit of sanding to smooth things out.
              Then 1 coat of Insignia White Poly-Tone ( where the Omaha Orange is going ).

              Now on to the front half with Primer.......

                    Thought the Gas Caps looked a little thick so Mr Dremel and 4 cut-off wheels thinned things out.
