Lol, glad I had them saved. I used every one of them. The other Half of them are Wendy's chili.
The mold smelled like Vanilla Reese's peanut butter with a hint of Chili.

      Lol, just kidding....

  • and here is the mold all finished.

    • Cut out the openings in the cowl. Glue together cowl mounts and epoxy onto the firewall.

That's really nice glass work there, Gunny! The 'Cab-o-Sil' (white stuff) filler at the nose is nice and makes the lay-up easy, too!

      • Thanks, yes absolutely... actually I use thixotropic silica to fill the detail in the nose and mix a little to the resin for the gell coat "surface coat" it's a lot harder, stronger, cures faster and cheaper. When cured, the gell coat (home made surface coat) is nice and hard and the customer will never accidentally sand through down to the glass cloth.

        • Keep it cool with Baffles... I kept it simple this time around and saved the templates which will be included in the kit. I made mine out of 1/8" balsa.

          • Started covering May 27th with Ultra Coat. 9 rolls of orange and 1 white. These are the standard short rolls. The stripes i just cut with a 4 foot long straight edge, however
I laser cut out the N numbers on the laser machine and ironed them on.

Again, this is the color scheme I'm doing. I love it.. and really liking it!

            • A little white primer, a little bit of white paint and then mask for the orange. Etc, etc.
