it looks great. if you have extra tape it makes a great rough sanding block.

I got another roll of anti-slip tape and put a piece on the fold out part of the ramp door.

And I got a latch to secure the fold out so that it cannot swing forward into a plane when the ramp door is closed.

So we decided that our trailer needed lights so that we can see to put the airplanes away at the end of the day. After talking to Swiss1 about his experience with the 5M rolls of LED lights, we purchased two 5M rolls of white LED lights and two 5M rolls of RGB LED lights with the water-proof coating. We also ordered 4-color hookup wire for the RGB and 2-color wire for the white lights from Hansen Hobby (plus some servo wire). The strings of LED lights were cut and spliced with the hookup wire to make four runs each of the RGB and White lights.

We tested the light strips to make sure our solder joints worked and then installed them in the trailer. Strips were installed along the top edge of the wall on each side and under the shelf on each side. the strips of RGB and White lights were attached side-by-side and can be used independently of each other.

All of the wiring for the LED lighting has been completed and wires enclosed in split tubing. Junction block for the power supply and three power feeds to the lighting is hidden in the wardrobe.

Next step is to secure equipment. Using 1" X 2" clear pine, dividers were fabricated and painted.

              Source battery locked in place.

Oil bottles secured (enough to mix 25 gallons of fuel)

Generator and fuel containers in place.

And popup shade secured in place at base and above.

Do not see the need for the popup carry bag, just extra hassle setting up and taking down.

Next is the airplane side. Again, using 1" X 2" pine, we made wheel stops for the Porter and Bidule and painted them with the floor paint.

The Porter fits in with the tail to the side so there is room to step into the rear of the trailer. This placement also allows for the wing blade to remain installed so assembly/disassembly is quicker.

Strapped down and ready to travel...looks nice with the hangar lights on!

Got this nice 2' X 3' rubber mat at Lowe's (and it is even made in the USA).

Super-D-dupper!! I'm interested in seeing how you will tie down the Bidule feet with her brakes on. Currently, I'm in the thought of not tying the mains down at the wheel end, but a large strap over the top of the fuse right in front of the gear along with wheel chocks that encompass the wheels on all 3 sides. The nose gear is tied down at the wheel though. One compromise for me though, is that the airplane does not travel with its canopy on. Not a big deal in that it must come off for field assembly anyway, but it is an extra piece to pack and transport. Great organization Jim!!

My elastic straps go around the main gear at the top and anchor to the floor near the wheel on the opposite side.

This may help answer your question. Planes are strapped down and ready to travel.

Still lots of room in the back.
