    • Windows needed to be repainted.....and I thought a zinc chromate interior might look neat

I seem to be procrastinating on making a new front window, I guess that's next on the list

I think I like the polished aluminum spinner look.

            Exceptionally cool!

        • Thanks Steve,

How cool is this,.....when you order REVOC wing bags they Email you when the order is complete with a picture of your bags.
          That's pretty cool customer service.

And they included a Rudder cover.

          • Some of the finer points.....

Stabilizer flying wires are using Dubro 4-40 Threaded / Soldered Rod Ends for a bit more secure connections.
The lower rear attach point was moved up to look a little more clean and the spacer adds a little stiffness to the part

Using a Leaf spring setup for the Tail Wheel as I found I would break the single unit setup on my old Pawnee. The Spacer is so the tail wheel Tee bracket doesn't get brutlized when landing a little "stiffly".

OOPs.......I kinda knew I should have opened up the attach points.......Patches give it that "scale" look........

            • Another beautiful job Scott. You know we at PRCF in Fallbrook have an aerotow the first Saturday of the month. We would welcome your presents at any of them. Normally Don vanGundy does the towing with his 170. So bringing a sailplane or tow plane is optional.

              • Thanks for the invite, sorry I haven't been able to attend, been a busy year so far......

Finally got up the courage to do the Stars and Bars on the wings........I don't recommend Mactac paint mask as it isn't very solvent resistant ( at least for Polytone paint ) It is nice in the respect that it's a transparent film so it makes positioning easier but it doesn't conform as well to irregular surfaces.

                      • Successful Maiden flight in overly blustery conditions ......wasn't.really sure if i was flying a rowboat in the open oceans or forgot how to fly.
All parts still where they should be.....except for the ones I forgot to apply Loctite too.
