Here are pics of mine! Graphics by Gary Sibert of Decal-It are the white stars, flags on fin, number '57' and 'N' numbers on fuse. The rest is blue paint and clear coat on nose and red Monokote on rudder and blue Monokote on wing tips.

It has been suggested that Steve at Bob's Hobby Center in FL had a pilot figure in the works, but I have not seen anything yet.

For the guys looking for an inexpensive pilot, if you're a Star Wars fan, Target has 18 inch action figures for about 12 bucks. Here's the TIE fighter pilot I grabbed for my ASW.

So it's a good thermal sailplane? I'm thinking about sell a 100cc Yak and getting one of these. Not sure if I'll go pure sailplane or electric.

It took 880 grams to balance my ASW. I mixed up finishing resin with the lead pellets. Fiberglass worked into and over the pellets to help keep them in place. Don't want loose pellets rolling around and possibly shorting any electronics. Finishing Resin has a longer cure time so heat build up wasn't an issue. For security and peace of mind the nose was placed on EPP foam that was in a pan of water so things stayed nice and cool during cure. A section of a small plastic bottle was set into the lead pellets/ resin/glass mix. It has a twist top so lead can be added or removed for fine tuning the balance.
I need an inexpensive 1/3.15 scale pilot! Any sources?

Has anyone placed wing tips on the ASW20? If so where did you purchase them? Were they a size match from another sailplane? Did it help or hurt flight caracterisitics?

There are some really good tips in this tread lads, keep em coming :-) I'm so looking forward to getting back to the UK next week espessially as I have just spent 3 days at the Boeing factory....I have a real bad case of planegeekamania !!!
Got 2 days to go watch some drag racing and take my mind off the bloody flights back!!! but I really Just want to get home and fly the hell out of some of my birds....oh and by the way the factory was awesome especially as got an insider tour or two.....well 3 actually as its too bigger place to get round in one day.
Did the engine build shed today and found out the latest GE jet chucks out almost 125k lbs of thrust.... I told the guy I also have a jet turbine at home...really he said and what power do you get out yours.........he sniggered when I said 13 to 16lbs........lol
No pictures allowed....but I did literally come back with "the hat & the t shirt"....& a desk top 747 & a wall clock that says: " if it ain't Boeing...it a it going" and a second hat......lol....from their own airport,,,, well actually it's the collection Center....it looks like a posh car dealers but for planes..sorry went off topic a little there..back to it eh:
gunny that's a proper fix and we have some 1/8th truggy track rod ends that would be up for that job I reckon.
Undercarriage bay doors spring latch point: i will 3d print up something and post pics when I can incase anybody else wants a set and if anybody has any other custom printed part design or ideas that will better the build then let me know.
Sorry for the waffling...am still jet lagged a little....keep the ideas coming lads :-)
