First off I just want to thank everyone for making the trip out. It was really because of everyone that this event was such a success! Jim, Mike and the rest of the club members did a spectacular job with the food, preparations and making everyone feel welcome, but without everyone showing up... there wouldn't have been an event, So thank you all!

The Windy Ridge guys were all very impressed by our operation. Even the ones who had seen it in October. Due to some horrible luck on my part, I didn't do a whole lot of flying, but instead I count at least 13 pilots who flew the Cularis over the course of the event. Most of them had never aerotowed before and some had never even flown a glider! Every single one of them did a great job and had a smile on their face afterwards. Most of them are now talking about getting gliders/tow planes... so hopefully that plays out!

On a personal note, I want to say how blown away I am by the kindness and generosity of the people in this community. You guys really are the best and I can't wait to see everyone in Cumberland.

What a great event! The Windy Ridge guys really went all out. Super field, Great lift, Fantastic Food (did we mention 3 meals a day)! Steve, Kevin, Jim, Mike and the hosts of others I'm sure - a job well done!! Anyone who did not make it to this field should put it on the list for next year. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you to ALL the towpilots. Jim, Len, Scott, Kevin, Don and anyone I missed. We are getting more guys helping out on that duty and it really helps out. Many times the line had 2 going at once to keep up.

Thank you for a memorable 4 days. I really enjoyed it.

Here are a few shots from the camera. Working on Salem shots now and will post the album link for it and WR on the respective threads as soon as I can.

              Jeff

Very late in this reply simply because it took this long to recover from the food coma.
The Windy Ridge gang deserves a special rating next to their listing next year that designates its as an "All inclusive getaway"

Since this year's event took over the time slot held by the aerotow in Muncy ( Williamsport) it was sure to have better weather than last October. We weren't disappointed either. Fantastic weather, great food, and the venue was beautiful.
Having two ruway's in use at the same time made takeoff and recovery operations a cinch. Lots of towing and little wait time.
As mentioned above, there were multiple tugs running much of the time as well.

A huge huge huge thank you to the club, to Steve, Jim, Mike, Kevin, Peter and of course to all the tow pilots who selflessly stand in the sun for an hour or more at a time launching plane after plane.

                    I'll be back!!!!

I also want to add that the Windy Ridge club event was absolutely spectacular. There hospitality was top notch. And thanks to Jim for helping me get new rubber sneekers on my trailer so I could make the 7 hour trip back home safely. Note to self for next year.... I dont need to stock up on food for the camper because of the generouse amount of food that the club made for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Ps. Geat event and had a blast.... So did Arcus playing in the pond.

Sorry for the delay on this and Salem (check that one out too....) Will try to do better on the next one - note to self, take less than 1000 shots

Thanks again to the entire WR crew for a job well done.

                          Enjoy,

Jeff, thanks for all the work on these fantastic photos. Timing of the Bideul landing gear incident was perfect, how did you know?

The dual 2-33 photos are fantastic.
