Beautiful country. The Flight 93 Memorial is stunning, somber and well worth the journey. The exhibits detail all of 9-11 with an emphasis on what transpired at 10:03 AM. I was here right after the temporary memorial opened, but had not been back since the stunning new visitors center, hardscape & landscape architecture, and memorial park down at the crash site opened.

My photo files are too large to load, but suffice it to say this is a worthwhile diversion from any Cumberland trip.

Slope day after two hours of runway shoveling. At the end of the day, the runway is twice as long as pictured below, dry and ready tom tow on Saturday.

Well after 10 years of this aerotowing thing I thought I had seen it all, but the snow shovels were a surprise. Slope was great when it was on (most of the day) and ugly when it turned off. My first flights with a real slope ship and I had a great time although I did a lot of walking after I landed (read as arrived).

Folks, if you've never been to Cumberland, Maryland.... you "got" to put this on your Bucket List! No kidding, really, seriously. This awesome " Knobbly" mountain top has a little bit for every type of sailplane. Spring, Summer and Fall, you pick....
                  Man I miss being there!

A few unedited shots from today. What great long thermal cycles. Many 30 min flights a a few over 2hrs. Some carnage which we could have done without, but in all a great day.

                  thanks for the tows.
