There was a major ice storm here the end of February and then high winds as March came in. There were a lot of limbs down over the mountain road, so I had the crew come and clean things up. Two tall old trees, with lots of dead branches that were about to fall,
were cut down along with clearing many other limbs that the ice and wind brought down.

Once we got up to the top, it became apparent that the winds had topped 41 mph (the speed at which the pot-a-jon tips over)!

Typical of early March weather, the temperature hovered around in the high 20's and the wind gust send snow squalls dancing along Dan's Mountain on the other side of the valley.

We got a problem area fixed. The overflow from the water tanks would make a slippery, muddy spot were vehicles entered in the pit parking area. Our fix was to excavate a deep hole and fill it with gravel so the water can diffuse into the ground instead of running out across the top of the ground and into the parking area roadway. Hopefully we will not need to test this improvement during the upcoming event!

So one is Michael Laborde, who is the other? Snatch is 99%, but who knows, still waiting for doctors OK for his knee!

It is currently snowing in Ottawa, as it has been for a day or so now.

I am definitely looking forward to some early-season flying.

              See you all next week.

OK gentlemen, the trailer is parked in front of The Model Box and we will start loading tomorrow for a very early Wednesday morning drive north!
If you placed an order with us, rest assured that it's making the trip, and if not now is the time to do so
                And Thank's!

Looks like we will have a wet start to the event with snow on Tuesday and into Wednesday, but daytime temperatures will be above freezing so snow should be gone quickly. Forecast has zero chance of precipitation from Wednesday evening on through the event. Monday looks to be a very good day... I will be here no matter what, so if some want to stay through Monday that is okay with me.

I packed yesterday, will decide when to arrive this evening, as long as turnpike and 220 open should not delay much. Thanks for posting
