First flight has been done on Sunday afternoon, beautiful weather for that occasion with a Freshmen as towpilot, Burt, that did an excellent job with his Taxi 2400 and his DLE 55.

With the multiple dihedral, the take off is a no brainer, no need to adjust any surfaces, and once in altitude, just a dream, couple click up elevator to decrease speed and here we go...

CG test is just about right pulling out of a dive after 2 seconds, engine test is ok, the climbing rate is respectful with this setting in 8S, after about 3 to 4 climbs I only consumed 1250mA out of the 5000mA of the pack : happy

Landing is just a formality, spoiler are very efficient, speed is ok but you need to pull elevator in order to decrease vertical speed on landing

After that as the prop of Burt decided to hit the ground, I tested my bungee setting, and it worked link a charm, very safe...

In couple words I am a happy camper...

Time to move on another project : let try to finish the Blanik before Cumberland!

PS. Picture to come, I still having issues uploading picture event after the update

Tried the sailplane again today, not a great weather but enough to gather data

              motor 90 size Kv420 with 2x4S 5000mA prop 13x8

drainer 1800mA for 2min30s could go as much a 5 min run time or 10 climbs...

rate of climb is 7m/s or 23ft/s

happy of the performance with the steel joiner, should even be better with the carbon joiner...

You got to be happy with that. Will it self launch with it's own landing wheel or do you use a cradle? It seems you have an abundance of battery capacity. Could you eliminate some battery weight or is it needed for balance?

Self launching would require a tiny bit more clearance, for the moment I bungee it

As battery, I need it for the CG and it is the same pack that goes in my ASW-22

As you said much happy of the result

                    Hello,

It is about your discus 2b in 4.54m, that you mounted, some years ago, that you put like engine and helice?
                    I'm going up one.
In advance, thank you for your response.
                    Cordially.
