    Canopy, Winglet and Rudder covers.

I now have patterns for reflective covers for the ASH 31. They will help reduce fading of the flo paint while in storage and on the field between flights. This is the same high quality material and construction as our Canopy Cap covers for full scale gliders.

    Canopy cover only - $25.
Canopy, winglet and rudder cover set - $50.
    Shipping by USPS additional.

Stew, you're not kidding. Metal 24T Hitec arms are few to choose. This one is a Apex RC Products 24T Hitec Red Aluminum Dual Clamping Servo Horn. They come with two holes drilled and tapped for 3mm but I ran my 4-40 tap through with minimal removal of material and I sacrificed one to see how much torque I could put on it. I think it'll be sufficient as I put on a pretty good bit before starting to strip the aluminum threads. I found a couple other arms but they aren't as substantial and would require lock nuts. I should probably have just used 3mm hardware all around but.......

I originally used the stock composite Hitec arm with lock nut but after drilling it for 4-40 the hole was almost touching the two other closest pre-drilled holes and figured it would oval out after a bit of usage.

    Bryan,

Great work! What servo arm did you use? Looks like a nice metal one and they are hard to source it seems for ones that have enough area to drill and tap.

After my gear started acting up in my ASH31 I decided to do the servo modification inspired by the one Stéphane posted. I used a heavy duty servo so I didn't use the music wire strain relief spring. I also angled the servo a little so the pushrod is as parallel as possible to the servo arm. I figured 403oz-in could handle the occasional duty cycle without too much trouble. Plus it's HV so I can bypass the voltage regulator as well.
Works like a champ! Thank you Stéphane and Len for your assistance.

Finally getting around to my ASH-31, since I'm going to be using it for GPS triangle racing I'm installing the IDS system from Soaring USA for the MKS HV6130 servos
    https://www.soaringusa.com/Servo-Fra...6130-Pair.html
Of course this requires some drilling/grinding/filing - and the prerequisite courage to do it..... At least there a nice "How To" video for the installation process.

Hey! Since Bryan has a mold he could make a mint selling these things to his close friends. Can I be Bryan's friend? Or it that a Facebook thing.

Did the maiden on mine yesterday, went like a charm. A great afternoon here in Michigan with low wing and heat to catch scarce thermals

The take of without bungee is a delight, I will post later the maiden of my Salto (bungee lauched)

That will be the perfect tool for the lonely towplilot!

CG75mm and need to go back a bit

What I heard.....they got “diverted” and they are working on getting them shipped to the USA.......so they are made.......and now it’s just a matter of shipping!
More important question.....who else has gotten their ship airborne? I’m working on finishing up my install.....life got in the way......and hope to get it in the air in the next couple of weeks!
