Scott,
Just keep plugging away at it as you are and it will soon be ready to fly. It's hard to resist the temptation but hang in there.

That's a pretty slick fixture! That is really going to show up at altitude, too! Painting with yellow is murder. Takes a bit to get opaque... at least with dope it does! Red is sorta the same.

worked out how to hold the fuselage while painting
Two mist coats of white and then the yellow
.................
Clean-up on aisle 2.........all the paint I sanded off my wings with 220 grit wet/dry and a spray bottle..

Things were going along so well and then........I didn't fill the weave well enough on the D-box area.....( skipped the PolySpray step )
Now I've got some sanding in my future.....nuts.......
Well - while I wait for paint to dry......moved on to sanding and masking the fuselage.......and filling the rear fabric that didn't get a clear coat
Applying silver to the top of the rear fuselage section as it's going to be yellow and I didn't want the see-thru look.

Knuckled down and started sanding away on the canopy frame pieces.....alot of sand, check....sand, check....sand,check....sand, check.
Fuselage getting it's Clear AeroThane, now I just have to wait the proscribed 7 days for the paint to cross-link. I think I'll give the Clear a couple of days before I start masking and priming the solid sections.
