Better get busy, slacker! Talk about slackers... I am getting this one down to the wire! Purchased wing number templates but they wouldn't stick so I had to make my own! That took an evening. Sanding and painting the struts and skid took a whole day. Putting stickers on it took a good part of a day and rigging took til now I started this morning around 7 AM! I am finishing the wing gap cover now. All that's left is to add ~2lbs of Pb to the nose for balance.

Why do you put Peanut Butter ( Pb ) in the nose for weight? I use lead shot or stick on weights. Is the Pb better for sticking? Does it matter which brand?
Ok, seriously now. Very nice job Michael. I'm excited to see this one in person soon. Beautiful scratch build as always.
Kudos.

It was a pleasure to see this wonderfully built glider at the Horizon event last weekend. Even better, Michael let me fly it! Appropriately, Michael won the best scratch built plane award again this year any Horizon. That's two years in a row!

Thanks for the compliments everybody! I really appreciate them! I really had fun at the Horizon Aerotow! The Eaglet doesn't fly too badly. It is basically a dopey floater gas bag type but you can really see it a long way off! LenB did the maiden and it only needed some 'up' trim. It has 'mega' differential which seem to be spot on for roll control without adverse yaw. The ailerons mostly deflect upwards with only about 5 degrees down. The rudder is adequately effective. It could use less nose weight but it isn't a bad idea to err on the conservative side of that for first shake-down flights. A couple of off field landings due to my poor pilot skills resulted in two places where fabric got punctured near the wheel and skid. They are easily repairable but if I was a better pilot it would never have occurred. I'm still kicking myself over that! I look forward to flying it more.

Michael,
You're workmanship is awesome. Its a pleasure to see and fly you're planes, thank you for letting me do that and trusting me with your/our planes.
BTW, I didn't know the fabric was damaged on the off field excursions.
Please take good care of our plane. lol
I want that plane!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Pal.
