Hey Scott, thanks for keeping the home fires burning while I was away! We made a little 3,286 mile trip over the last eleven days.Covered eleven states along the way and got to see a lot of Texas!

One of the fun things you get to do when building the 2-33 (both sizes) is to silver solder metal parts together for the strut attachments. The metal straps have three holes and do make note that the center hole is closer to one side than the other!

Now...if you were paying attention, you noted that I soldered the nut to the wrong end of the metal strap...like I said, note that the center hole is closer to one side than the other! Oh well, just solder a nut to the other end and then removed the incorrectly attached one.

Fuselage taking shape - quality and detail of the plywood cut parts is outstanding.
I Spar Varnished the top cabin pieces and ornament first thing before I got "finger prints' all over them

Okay Scot, now you're pushing me!

Added stringers to the aft fuselage so we could do more work on the fin and stab mount.

Decided to go with 1/8" pin hinges across the tail ......surfaces rounded and ready to cover.....which I covered the elevator servo access cover ..Stits lite.

We are going to use the Ohio Super Star tail wheel option, so we added a hardwood block as per the plans Gunny provides for this.

Now it's time to go back up front and work on the stringers and rudder servo mount. Bricks and clamps plus rubber bands all come in handy!

Looking Good Jim.....I've gotten side tracked into covering my Stab/Elevator
I think I'll mount the haigh style tail wheel so we can match.....

Plans call for #2 counter-sunk screws to reinforce the lamination for the scale tow release retrofit ...I opted for 0.080 carbon rod epoxied in place (sanded flush)

While the fuselage is still sitting flat on the bench, I thought it would be a good time to work on some interior details like seats and side panels. Click image for larger version Name:	167.JPG Views:	1 Size:	249.8 KB ID:	15353
