Installing the Elevator servos in the Stab. Using some G10 0.020 and 0.030 material to frame up the servo bays
WestSystem/Colloidal Silica mix to stick thing together.

In keeping with hanger rash avoidance protocol, here's my rendition of Dan's ( QuebecAerotowAssociation.com) Bergfalke fuselage transportation rig.
Of course the main feature is keeping the wing rods with the fuselage...............I guess I'll have to make a leash for the stab ........

if I need to get to the servos, I'll just cut the Ultracote and then just tape it back on.

Spoilers.....

As luck would have it, my laser cut spoiler attachment holes didn't line up



so out came the 90 degree dremel attachment and a grinder to get things lined up ( with the spoiler taped in place )



This left a bit a play in the movement of the spoiler's action with the enlarged holes, so out came the G10 .060 material and some epoxy.



And of course, some longer 4mm socket head bolts (longer shank ) so the spoiler isn't moving on a threaded surface.

Cockpit wiring and Tow Release

In an attempt to keep from shredding the tow loop, I installed a sleeve on the 4mm bolt


trying to keep the wiring under control with 5/8" wing tube sockets
I think I'll convert over to a Jeti SPS20 electronic switch with a magnetic key since the canopy is bolted on

Lots of fun flying the Bergfalke....seems to excel at low altitude thermals, spent lots of time at 100-150m just putting around.

Awesome Scott. The colors really jump out on film. Its such a pleasure to see two pilots and the detail like you do. So often guys show up with empty cockpits and they look silly in the air photos...

The Bergfalke @ Montague Glider Festival ready to launch in the "Vintage" class. Lift was spectacular today after a small rain shower
