  • Servos power from Rx or battery connection?

I have a 4.5m dg808 I will be building. It will have 9 or more standard size servos. My Rx will be a frisky r18. It has dual xt30 connections.

Should I wire the servos directly to a battery and only have the signal and ground going to the Rx or just not worry about it and plug everything directly into the Rx?

Based on the specs, looks like you're fine plugging them into the receiver.

You might want to wire retract separately. Otherwise it is a "small" scale sailplane and you probably only have smaller wing servos, not a bunch over 150 ozin that could take a lot of power.

Thanks guys. At the moment I don't have a retract. I'm still deciding if I want to do it or not but thanks. I had read that in some of the other like UK international forms, a lot of guys seem to say you needed to do the retract separate. That's easy to do.
