I might have been a bit dizzy .....as I started painting the Rudder yellow .....and realized it should be Red.....so......

Hi Kevin,
Ball links on the flaps are an easy up-grade as the secondary side is only a slot cut in the leading edge of the flap and then a support bracket is glued in. Something to keep in you back pocket.

Ball links are going on all the control surfaces so I made some secondary brackets for the elevators and ailerons.....then the cutting process.



I really liked Len's Stabilizer gap fill so...... using epoxy/410 microlite filler to fill in the gaps.



Cutting the Aileron bevel. Should be good for 18 degrees down travel

Working on the Flap linkage before I cover the wing. Servo set for 180 degree rotation so the flaps will stay up when the power is off and lower's the workload when they're down.
Switched to ball links on the flap since the horn was not moving in a linear track to stay lined up. Found I only needed 20 mm of travel to get 60 degrees of down flap.

Scott - Love the attitude this version brings to the design....I have one in the box, but it is as of yet unstarted. Will be following along closely as I would like to make these mods to mine as well.

I'd wager there 'were' some rats in Cali that died of cancer using those covering supplies of "highly flammable liquid and vapor"! lol Looks good!

Mixing things up a bit ....plus, I wanted to play with a "highly flammable liquid and vapor"

Rudder covered with Polyfiber LITE cloth thru poly-spray.

Poly-tak is thinned 4:1 and "painted" on the areas where I want to stick the covering to. Wipe solvent ( MEK/reducer) with a papertowel over fabric in place to "glue" it down. Then heat formed around the corners/edges.
Once things are glued on, the fabric is shrunk down in stages ( 225, 250, 275, 300 )
Poly-brush ( thinned 4:1 ) is brushed on the entire surface to seal the fabric, then a spray coat of Poly-brush ( thinned 4:1 )
Poly-spray (uv protection and opacity ) - 3 coats.
