To be clear, there's a master gain and each channels gain can be raised or lowered via the software. The gain channel still controls all three gains at the same time.

That article is a little unclear because he's talking about both the Cortex and the iGyro and it kind of ran together.
With the iGyro it doesn't matter because you set the direction that the servo corrects with the button during the setup sequence.
With the Cortex you need the stock orientation unless you configure it with the software.
Yes, flat with the thrust line, you want the gyro perpendicular to the axes it's controlling. The wives tale of it needing to be at or near the CG is utter nonsense, it can be mounted to a pole on the wingtip and as long as it's flat it will work the same.Last edited by AGriffith; 09-02-2015, 02:18 PM.

I am still debating whether to get either the USB plug or the Bluetooth accessory. I realized last week, that there are less outputs than inputs and the main reason I wanted one was to see if there was a way to have output for two rudder servos. Unless you can turn the USB port into a second rudder servo output. Also, the spot I will place mine may be hard to get to, to reach the button, if one of the outputs is reversed.....so being able to change that with my phone would be a lot easier than trying to reach the button and see what lights are flashing.
Also there is a channel on the input side that says Misc.....not sure what that is for?!?!

I just confirmed that you can reverse a gyros compensation via the BlueCom Adapter, as long as the iGyro 3e is running VO2 software. If it does not have VO2 you can update it with the BluCom Adapter. You can also change the orientation of the iGyro by 90 degrees using the BlueCom Adapter.

Is there a concern about vibration to the iGYRO? I made a flat plate mount for the gyro, and will use the double sided tape, but wonder if I should rubber mount the plate in the fuse--or just glue it in. Does it make a difference on a gas twin powered airplane?

I've installed the iGyro 3E in my Pegasus, and have a problem. I think I know what to do to fix the issue, but thought I'd better ask an expert before I make things worse? The Peggy has two elevator servos, both mounted in the tail. As normal, I have one reversed so they go up and down together--which they do. However, the gyro drives one up and the other down when I raise and lower the tail of the airplane on the bench. I take it I can use the "button" on the gyro to reverse the effect of just the one servo, and leave the other one alone??? I just figure out which one is correct, and reverse the other? The rudder appears to be moving in the correct direction, but not yet sure the ailerons are doing much of anything. Also, the amount of rudder and elevator deflection appears to be a lot less than I've seen on a couple videos on the gyro, and that is with full slider movement to 100 and -100. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
