I'll join the party with a big THANK YOU to Jim, Marcy and all who made those few days fun and special!

As always, the soaring superb, the hospitality wonderful, and the total experience worth every second of windshield time needed to make the trip.

In that spirit, let's each do our very best to help promote the 50th Anniversary Soar For Fun dates in November (11/3-7) and encourage all of our soaring friends to attend. We can make it a weekend of attendance levels and memories that will not be matched for another 50 years!

+1 with Steve P! THANK YOU! Some musings: Don's Lunak thermals just fine, Burt is now the Aerobatics Demon replacing a vacancy left by LenB and Radian XLs fly great in the darkness of night (or anytime of day for that matter) Must be special foam that glows.
      50 years is pretty amazing!

What more can be said other than Thank You Again Jim.
It was a great time and the new Quintus is simply amazing. ( a word that gets used way too much but fits well here)

I took very few photos and flew way too much, sunburn city..

Thanks to the food crew and the tug pilots, Scot, Bob, Stephane, Don and Steve. Nice job working together and keeping the sailplanes in the air.

Everyone has already said it but one more time can not hurt. WOW what a great week. You have done a super job on your flying site and are a wonderful host Jim. Please thank Marcy as well.

The Bidules and Porters did a great job of keeping the lines short which kept the sky busy with sail planes. Super job and a big Thank You to all who towed.

What a great event!! I wish I could have stayed for Sunday!! It was great to see so many familiar faces and to meet so many more!!

Thanks for a great time Jim and all the hard work!! Your mountain top flying field was always a "10" and all your improvements turned it up to "11"

The great weather, the amazing lift, food at the field, the great facilities, flying till dark and all the hardworking tow pilots.....made for a truly amazing event!! Everyone needs to come here at least once in their life, but once you do, you will always come back!!

To all of the tug pilots, thank you for not ripping the wings off of my new plane on all of the great tows that you provided.
To Gerry our neighbour, it was really nice talking to you and learning about your super cool Onyx(s).

                  Hi Blake,
It was a pleasure meeting you also. Congratulations on the first aerotow, you did well and its great to see how many flights you put in over the day you were there. You're plane flew perfect on the first tow with only a click or two of trim needed. Not sure where the legend thing comes from, but I'm always happy to help anyone who asks.

                    • So many people to thank!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, to all who attended, without your participation, the event would have been less successful. Thank you!

To Kris, who arrived a day early and was a tremendous help in getting the facility ready. Thank you!

To Len, for managing the flight line and organizing the tow pilots. Thank you!

To all the tow pilots…The Bidules: Len, Bob, Scot, and Stephane. The Porters: Steve and Don. The Pawnee: Tom. Thank you!

To Jeremy and Tom for their multiple days of standing over a hot grill preparing food for us. Thank you!

To all those who took pictures and posted them (or will be shortly). Thank you!

To Gunny, Stephane, and Jeremy for helping my friend Joe with his Blanik. Thank you!

And to the many wonderful memories we all take away with us…Cue Bob Hope singing: “Thanks for the memories!”

                      • The field begins to fill with trailers, vehicles, planes, and people.

Each night the hangar filled with planes.

Jeremy and Tom at the grill...we all thank you for this wonderful addition to the food side of the event.

                        Stephane with his Bidule 111

Joe with his new Blanik getting radio programming and setup advice from Stephane and Jeremy.

Seems the Swiss1 took possession of the hangar on Sunday morning while cooking breakfast,

And finally, the last of the participants prepare to depart.

And the next day the field was empty...very sad!

                        • It's all been said by everyone else, so I will not repeat it Jim! Although in your list of thank yous, you forgot to mention the most important one thing, and it is YOU

                          • Good morning!

Finally finished the album. Here is the link.

Time to give the eyes a rest.... But I have to say, when I go back and run through the final shots a day later I sit there and think - you know, there was a lot of activity going on! At least I got a piece of it. Glad to see other people posting shots too. It helps to tell the story.

                            Till the next time...

                            Enjoy,
