Jim -- Aaron Wallace from San Diego and his wife are planning on visiting for the day on Friday. He is flying east to pick up my PWS-101 and they are driving back on Saturday. So it will be +2 for lunch Friday and I'll let him get some stick time on one of my models during the day.

So here is my last prompt, if you need anything bringing to the event I must know by tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I have no Radian XL's to bring along and Horizon is sold out until August! They are also out of Timber's but I have 2 to bring along but one is ear marked for Bob Morrow. So let me know if I can fulfill any or all of your needs.

Food & Facilities on the Field:

      * A light lunch will be served at about 1:00 pm each day and a $5.00 donation to cover the cost will be collected. Other than lunch, there will not be a food and drink concession during other times of the day.

      * There is a restaurant (Linda's Old Furnace Restaurant) near the field on Route 28 as well as several quick marts (that sell sandwiches and ice) and a soft serve ice cream stand.

      * Bring what snacks and drinks you will consume the rest of the day and please take your empty wrappers and bottles with you because there is no trash removal service available for the airfield.

      * There are port-a-pot facilities on site. Camping is allowed, but there are no power and water hookups or waste water dump facilities.

      * Bring a range of clothing, because the temperature can vary widely, and bring sunblock and skin lotion. Also, bring a popup shade if you have one because there is no pavilion on the flight line.

Really great day here at Cumberland today. I was able to get some flights in on my Arcus and also did some towing with the Bidule 170. At the end of the day I put up my Radian XL into incredible lift and had it up for at least 40 to 50 minutes after just a 30 second motor run.....I turned over the controls to Scot Stewart and Steve Kremer to fly it for a while.

Many thanks to Jim for making this event and the field available......just and amazing place to be together with friends, old and new, to enjoy scale soaring.

Here are a few pictures that I took today......
