Looking forward to returning.
Ohhhhh...and there were the Flying Aces guys too, who were there on Thursday flying that big Telemaster.
I must say I liked the way Skip and Gil worked overtime and transformed their somewhat underpowered Pawnee into a powerhouse with a DA120!! The test flights revealed a lot more powerful tug and the fact that the DA was 2 lbs. lighter than the previous motor. Just goes to show what a wide CG range the model can handle
Tom had two tugs, a Pawnee with a DA100 and a H9 Decathlon (motor?) He and others took a few towing session with each.
Swiss1 brought his turbo prop powered Porter and in his and Lens hands, turned in a few towing sessions on the flightline. Why not it works
Kris bought his Bidule 100 with a DA120 on pipes, that towed several sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. As I mentioned before I towed with the Carbon Cub and for the first time.....that was all I flew. I never found the time or the energy to put the big Ka6 together. If I could have stayed through Sunday I would have gotten it out though
I am looking forward to hearing some flying reports from Saturday and Sunday. The weather Sunday.....as usual.....looked like the best! Although there were some amazing thermals on Thursday and Friday!!

Peter, Saturday was just like Thursday and Friday. The forecast for rain was overstated as a line of thunderstorms did not pop up until 3pm for about an hour. But until then there was a lot of flying.
I want to thank everyone for making the trip - San Antonio, Minneapolis, New Hampshire, South Florida to name a few of the long hauls. Like Peter mentioned 26 registered pilots this year (3 were John, Skip, and I).
And, Thank You to you all for the suggestions on how to make it better! A year ago we could not spell Aero-Tow and now....
We are looking at September 14-17 for the 2017 eventGil

Thanks for the photos and write ups...I was a bit under the weather with bronchitis but sure enjoyed this event and my first trip this far south east in the USA...the site is stunning as shown in the photos...the hosts were beyond anything I have ever witnessed...my thanks to the everyone including the tireless tow pilots that had to deal with cross winds every day...
Nice to meet some new friends as well...
I hope to return next year God willing...

Fun Fly at Clover Creek
I decided to return to Clover Creek after being there just 2 weeks ago, Janet came along with me and loved every minute of it, having a pool by the house sure helped after the heat of the day. The local TV Station turned up on Sunday for a small story, you will notice we did a little towing using the Turbo Porter and the Antares. You can see only one spoiler deployed on the Antares

Ein schönes Bild von Tim Mattson von einer Seglerschleppveranstaltung in den USA.

Congratulations on the great turn out.
Just so you know, I consolidated the two new threads asking questions and saying it's on into this thread since Gil is the organizer and started the thread some time ago. So, this is the only thread you will see.
Enjoy! Post photos!Team PowerBox Systems Americas... If flying were the language of men, soaring would be its poetry.
