To quote Jeremy ":No Pictures, No Event" So Jeremy, what's the deal??? Apparently everyone is just roasting marshmallows?? Hope more that it is that the weather and flying has been so great that there has been no time for pictures!!

And if you could fault Clover Creek it would have to be the Internet, but isn't that why we go to such events to get away from all of that!

Just wondering if anyone asked for the password? They had WiFi in the hanger.

I just got home from Clover Creek....I had to leave a little early but flew from Wednesday afternoon thru Friday. It was and is another stellar event!! Attendance doubled from last year!! A big thanks to Gil for organizing it and to John and Tina for hosting it at their incredible facility. The food that Tina puts out is amazing, she should have her own catering service as she seamed to work full time doing just that for this event! The weather was great and the thermals were as plentiful as the food Tina prepared. Staying at the facility was awesome and super comfortable, I can think of no other venue so accommodating. Having a bunkhouse, party room, cookhouse, showers, workshop, aircraft hangars....as in more than one, a lake to float fly off of.... a swimming pool and that amazing grass field to fly from day and night...makes Clover Creek RC heaven

There were plenty of towplanes and I put the Carbon Cub through it's paces, burning about three and half gallons of gas. I was happy to say it was the most I have ever flown it an event and it held up without any issues, I even mastered some pretty good crosswind landings. All the hard work and tweaking of the model to make into a tug has paid off and if I hadn't had to leave I am confidant it would have been able to tow for the rest of event as well!

I am already looking forward to coming back next year!
    Pete

Thanks for the photo journal Michael, and for letting me play with all of your model airplanes all week. It was a blast. Love my Eaglet

A big thanks to my brother from another planet Jeremy for transporting my Duo Discus to the event so I could fly into the event commercially. Jeremy was very generous letting me fly his Turbo Porter as well as the rest of the fleet, including the Arcus and Pilatus ( pronounced PI LATE Us) It was a great venue and the hosts are people you really need to meet in person. Unbelievable setup. Thanks to Skip, Tom, Pete and Gil for towing, if I missed anyone I'm sure Jeremy will let me know.
                        Looking forward to returning.
