What an amazing 2nd day of flying...

The wind was down until late. Thermals where all around. And, such a wide and varied collection of gliders.

Thank-You Len, Jim, and all for tows. Plus everyone's efforts who made this such a great event!

The two Ventus 2cx maiden flights where successful due to Lens generous advice, humor, and expert flying skills. I have allot to learn and grow into with her and hopefully she'll survive while my landing/flying skills improve

What a great group of guys too. Thanks for all the camaraderie. Everyone was kind while I hobbled around with the knee injury.

Day #3 in the bag! One more to go. Everyone likely drove to the field in the rain, but by the time we arrived the drops had stopped and planes were assembled. Len started tow duty with the Hacker Decathlon, Jim joined later with the Hangar 9 Decathlon. The H9 did some work before the flex header again broke just beyond a recent repair. Jim switched over to the trusty Porter and we flew all day.

We had some broad swaths of blue sky, some stone gray overcast and and occasional low ceiling that swallowed up the tugs and sailplanes alike. Flying never stopped.

Great support for the raffle with Charlie Reeve wining the big Carbon Cub (to be donated to a youth flyer back in DE) and club members won both the DLG and Charlesworth plan set. Over $660 was raised in the raffle!

33 pilots and another very good group of spectators (the newspaper coverage paid off). The grill guys did great duty feeding everyone. Team Gorgeous rolled out toward the end of the day. Sunday should bring great flying weather, sun, warmer temperatures and a more casual crowd.

Thanks to everyone who supported the event and worked to make it another success. Big kudos to Jim Dolly for masterful towing, Len for towing and being a great partner in crime, and to everyone who shagged lines and hooked up planes to keep the lines moving.

Next up in the east is Sky High Aero Tow in Muncy, PA. The first weekend of June!
Team PowerBox Systems Americas... If flying were the language of men, soaring would be its poetry.

Just a note to say thanks to Len, Steve and all the RC Probusters for another great event. I am disappointed I could not stay for Sunday, but as Jim Dolly pointed out; I am only allowed 3 consecutive days of fun. It was also great to see all my scale soaring friends again after a sparse season last year.

Special thanks to Steve as co-pilot and Len on the tow for my Blanik maiden flight. It took about 5 minutes for my heart rate to return to normal once I landed, but the plane flew great. After many more flights over 3 days I think I am getting a handle on it. By the way, if anyone needs servo connects made up Len is your man. Just ask him about brown side up, or was that down?

I got to tow some on Friday, and Saturday. Just foams, but I got a real appreciation for the effort of Jim, Len, and all the folks to stand there for hours pulling us up. Thanks so much.

Hoping to see many of you again in Muncy!!

Just showered up at the home base
Toms down in the dungeon , He did a great job driving back with only 5 people giving us the finger!

We found a new way by accident to bypass the Garden State Parkway
The palisades parkway took us right to 95 from the Tapoen Zee
Definitely going this way from now on!
          No tolls and smooth road

Thanks to Len and Steve for a great time! food was excellent as usual
Jim working hard at the fight line as usual.
Great time, Tom and I were glad we made the trip, It was well worth it!

Thanks again Guys , Great time had By all.

Wasn't able to make it to the New England Aerotow today as I was in Stamford CT for the 2nd annual STEMFest. Had a great time sharing information about the large scale sailplanes and scale aerotowing. Brought out 5 sailplanes (ASH-31mi, Arcus Light, Ventus 2c, Orlik II, and the MDM Fox). Seems lilke everyone had a great time learning about the sailplanes and aerotowing.

I have a few pictures from Friday at the Nr=ew England Aeratow. Thought I would share them......more to come as I will be back at the event for Sunday.

Hey Tom & Charlie you can't drive on the parkway's with a trailer. You're lucky the state troopers didn't stop you.

Thank you Prop busters for another great event. Thank you Jim for the many towing hours all weekend and Len and Rob also.
After a long winter, it's great seeing all you guys again. I got a lot of one third scale 233 flights in this weekend. As always it's fun to come to this event.
                      Thanks,

                        It was Toms fault!
I told Him to stay off that parkway!

A really wonderful event this year.

I was fotunate to be there Thursday afternoon, Friday, and Sunday.

Len and Steve along with the Propbusters did a fantastic job getting everyone going and in the air as well as great lunches from the club every day.

Many thanks to Jim Dolly for all his efforts in driving here to tow all of us up in the air. He and Len both kept everyone going and I don't think anyone had to wait for their ride. Without the tow pilots we would all just have good looking gliders on the ground.

                          Thanks again to everyone !

                          Bob

I seem to remember someone telling me......" Turn here, now!" and me saying....."I don't think this is the right exit...." and hearing back...." Yes it is....... my map on my phone says this exit!" Well we ended up on some goat path along the Hudson with absolutely no place to turn around the "Beast".......... my navigator is busy poking at his phone to reroute us and comes up with the bright plan of the parkway..... after driving thru the Jersey Ghetto we made it onto the Jersey Turnpike..... from there it was easy sailing!

Want to send out a huge thanks to Jim, Len, Steve and all the Propbusters crew who make this event happen. My time was selfishly spent on the sticks with the Ventus and what a blast!! A special thanks to all of those who lent a hand and patience to help Dan, The hook gets set deeper every time he's on tow, and by his track record, the hook should be coming out the other side by now!! Thanks again for all the work and great friendships.
