Great photos Scott!! It looks like the shot we set up worked pretty well, if that's my KA6 circling with you, in the 2nd photo from the bottom

Scott, Those inflight shots are great! I've always thought seeing our models up close and in flight was a particularly difficult but very worthwhile endeavor. A close-up (or as close as practical) video is something I want to pursue whenever I get one of those "trouble making drones".

Thanks for all the great photos everyone posted from the event.....it makes it a great way to go back to a week that could only be described as epic!!! What a truly memorable event....between the hardworking tow pilots, the food, the beautiful models, old friends, new friends, the raffle, the awards, the P40 Flying Tiger and the truly amazing weather with abundant lift, that culminated on Sunday with thermals that had several models aloft over an hour and one pilot....Len flew for almost two hours!! Great going Len....you sure got the hang of thermaling!! I squeaked out an hour flight myself...but just barely. My goal was to break the hour mark, but by the time I got to 50 minutes my neck started hurting and mother nature was calling...the later was the result of all the water people kept bringing me when I was flying The only problem was I came down faster than I should have....I really had to pee I guess....and found myself having to stretch the flight to make an hour!! I landed at 1 hour and 23 seconds

Thanks for all the great tows from Pete, Steve, JD, Rick, Ali and Dave! And congratulations to the award winners, especially to Mike Kelly(ARUP) for his Texaco Eaglet. Also of note was Tom Broeski relinquishing the Corn Award this year and handing the scythe over to Kevin Kavaney .....who really deserved it

Also thanks to everyone who helped set up and run the event, the great food by Peter Bergstrom and family, and a big thanks to Caroline Goldsmith for filling in for Missie Anderson. Caroline worked as hard as Missie and flew too!!!
          Pete
