I knew it would happen if I started naming people...I forgot to thank Don and his Porter for doing towing duty. 😳

Also, my local guys that came out to help and take part. Thank you Butch Browning, Rick Kutchman, Greg Athey, and Alan Morgan.

Wow so, The 49th annual Cumberland soar for fun is now in the books. You couldn't ask for any better weather heck they were promising in the high 70s I arrived a whole day early LOL. I got back yesterday and I slept a whole 12 hours to recuperate from all the fun and activities and feasting. I had a blast flying both my quarter scale and third scale 233's.
Also again thank you Len, Don, snatch, 1, French 1, and Jim for towing us up into the severe clear skies.
The food as always was absolutely great Yum! And seeing old friends from the other side of the country again is always a pleasure.

Thank you Jim Dolly and High Point Aviation crew for this great event.

          Gunny

P.s. It's easy to come to this event but it's so hard and sad to leave the event when it's over.

This was the scene shortly after the last person departed, the fire pit sat lonely in the middle of the field and the sky cried!

But as some wise person on the mountain told me, only 4 months until we gather again

                              Len,

Do you have something to tell me? It's not like we let just ANYBODY land down there you know?!? I leave you for a day and you have to go messing with my room? With the Arcus no less?
