I will try to drive up for the Scale Towing event in Muncie. Anyone bringing sailplanes that will be for sale? I'm looking for a Ventus type plane with flaps, no monokote or film on the wings. I would prefer a sailplane with a wingspan of 4.5 meters to 6 meters. Has to be able to fit in my Mazda CX 5. I know a Baudis Diana 2 will fit if anyone has one for sale.
    Thanks,
    Steve G

Absolutely, we welcome a sorts of scale sailplanes at this event, and due the size of the venue, if you fly a sailplane in general, come on out, theres plenty of room.

Never flew the Blanik, got it to fly at Cumberland in the Spring and was unable to get er done. Can't justify keeping it for 3 or 4 events I may attend per year.

To update this event, Registration is very strong and its shaping up to be a stellar event. If you have not registered, please do so. The folks at the AMA headquarters are very excited to have us there, this is a first for this kind of event there.

The grass got mowed, hedges trimmed and general yard work was done last night! When I get off work tonight the truck gets loaded and will be on the road at 5AM to meet with JimS. JimS and I are forming our own caravan to the Horizon Aerotow. Should be there around 9AM.

                Guys,
Sorry for the lack of communication. We've been at the field until 10:00 the last two nights. It doesn't get dark here until about 9;30, therefore we've been flying our butts off. Evening flying is the best.
Then, one of guys has a grill and we get fed too. Its so nice to hang out and relax after a long day!!
Attendance is great so far with a lot more coming in the next day or so. We're looking at a possible record attendance for this event. Lots of flying today with light lift ( except where Peter flys)

If your not here.....you should be.

                    OMG
                    Seriously,
It'a 10:30 and Im just getting back to the hotel. Today was a HUGE day, sailplanes everywhere. The sky was constantly full of gliders and two tugs running all day long was pretty much the norm.
The wind came up pretty strong in the afternoon, however it did not keep a single pilot on the ground. Great flying conditions all day long, excellent piloting by both tow and glider pilots mad this a day to remember.
Thanks to all the tug pilots for their work today, we collectively burned nearly 10 gallons of fuel today.

                    More tomorrow.

Great to see the collection of flyers actually leaning towards vintage and 50's to 70's sailplanes! Not that I don't love a slick glass slipper, but I LOVE older stuff :-)

Thanks to everyone for a fun event! Congrats to Len on his first event to be CD. The AMA field is really nice. I flew a little bit due to it being a little too windy for the old timers but was able to socialized a lot because of it! I have a few pics that will get posted later.
