2018 Winamac out of sight aerotow : Remembering Miroslaw Zakowany

I was at the Toledo show this week end and crossed the path of Tim Redelman, we talk model of course and he mentioned the fact that he sanctioned the event for august 23-26 and was needing some help.

I offered mine for towing and organizing the pilot meet and the flying line. I know that Jeremy volunteered for organizing the logistic of the lunch with the help of one volunteer each day.

I will be a hard task to fill the void that miroslaw left on this event, his energy was very appreciated and the beating hart of the meet. Lets get together to carry on his dream on this event, this is probably the best way to remember him.

So happy to hear the event will continue on. Miroslaw set some standards that will be tough to match, however the spirit will live on. I'd love to commit to attending once again, however the summer schedule is unclear at this point due to a large project I have starting soon.
If it's possible to attend I will.

So sorry to learn of his passing. If I am able to attend, I will pitch in and help wherever needed. I’m happy to hear the event will continue. It is a great venue, and Miroslaw will be missed. His enthusiasm was very contagious. May he rest in peace.

About two and a half weeks until Winamac. I'm planning on getting there on Wednesday afternoon (the 22nd) and will be setting up my tent. I'm looking forward to a great event!
