Al, thanks for getting that info. I was looking into campgrounds nearby but would much prefer to camp there at the field. See you next month!

I can't wait to see everybodyat Horizon and do some flying! DanR and BryanB... your ASW20 polyester resin fiberglass cockpit tubs are ready! I might have TomP's ready but since he won't be at Horizon we'll see...

If it is ready Jelly, I can take it to Cumberland as I'm taking delivery of a glider from Kevin Kavaney that I will be delivering to Tom next month!

Does anybody have the daily schedule? When is the banquet and what does it entail?

It is usually on Saturday evening at the field. Everybody recognizes the sponsors and everybody else who helped put on 'The Big Show'! There are some prizes and raffles, too! Anybody feel free to elaborate.
BryanB... don't forget the vacuum formed wheel well with the flashing (i.e., uncut) so I can use it to make some fiberglass versions.

I’m bringing a couple in styrene and an extra in PTEG. I Also bringing the original molds as I think that will be a better option for making fiberglass parts. I also made one for the tail wheel. You’re welcome to any or all of them.

We don't look at weather schedules, that's how people don't attend events, look back at Cumberland Spring, snow was forecast, but most turned up anyway, we dug out a runway and flew
            Just saying!

AGREE... forget forecast's, they are either much worse or better than what is predicted...these flying events are as much social as anything...
I hope no one will stay away based on silly forecasts. A month ago, I went slopping in South Dakota with a 90% chance of rain and South winds....we had not a drop of rain and the winds stayed out of the North that day and then
we flew slope for another three days in South Dakota with a forecast that stated that would be next to impossible to do.....just sayin..

To heck with the weather. I’m loading my truck and trailer for the trip to Monticello tomorrow. Planning to leave home (Brighton, MI) around 7:00 AM tomorrow, arriving in the early afternoon. Eagerly anticipating this event. It should be a lot of fun.

So for my shameless commercial.....................if you need anything from Horizon Hobby brought to the field I will be making a trip on Thursday and Friday! I must have any orders by 11.30am so there is time to process them. I can collect them after 1pm up until 5pm! So rack your brains and have a list ready. I will be at the field tomorrow morning, see you all there, and safe travels!

The Horizon aerotow is in full swing, we were towing yesterday after the last rain shower passed through, the sky is clear and expected to stay that way right through the entire event. its an amazing forecast, so theres no excuse there..

Horizon has ONCE AGAIN stepped up and donated a $1000.00........... YES ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR certificate for the purchase of the ASH-31 to be raffled off along with a bunch of other cool items including a Maul, Radians, glues, shirts, UMX Timber, Whip-it, and a complete Scale Soaring.com Outfit.

                        Awesome being here......

                        See you all soon
