  • Winamac 2017, August 24th-27th

I will be as last year joining that wonderful event organized by Miroslaw and Tim,

If you have not been coming to that event it is a sweet place, with very nice accommodations for storing sailplane and tow plane overnight.

I have booked my room as last year at the Tortuga Inn for Thursday to Sunday , taking the Kite Suite (that has one private bedroom with a king bed and a bunk bed in the living area) as there was no regular room left .

I will be coming with Mathieu and using as last year the bunk bed, so there is a room available with a king bedif someone want to share cost with me (140$ per night breakfast included so 70$ if we split in two)

    PM me if interested

I agree Stephane, its a good plane and the people are a lot of fun to fly with. Tim is hysterical.
I'm booked and really looking forward to returning to this event.

Looking forward to this event....it will be the third year for me! Be prepared to go on a diet afterwards as the food is to die for and never stops coming

                    Who all is bringing tugs?

I will have the Carbon Cub, I assume JimD and LenB will be coming again and will have Bidules! The other PeteG is coming with Caroline, so I'm sure he will bring the Smellyak I can't remember.....is there a "house" tug?

                    Pete

BTW...I may have accidentally registered four times for the event lol....I was trying to hit the back button to get back to the forum after I registered and I think I may have inadvertently sent my registration more than once

Pete - we received all four. Your call if you want to pay the organizers 4x. ;-)

That's okay Steve....I will pay 4x's if needed, but I won't bring four Carbon Cubs

I'll bring the Turbine for Fun, as it was 2 years ago at this event that I got my Turbine waiver from Tim and Greg.
Snatch says he will drive up in the RV so we have a cool place during the day, he will bring his Pawnee, but remember he changes his mind more often than a woman
Not sure if TimM and Kevin will bring a Tug, but I believe TimR still has a Pawnee also!

I just signed up for this year's Winamac event, and was wondering if there is any place I can pitch a tent for the weekend.

I hope so because I'm planning on sleeping in my tent for the event.

When are people getting there? I'm planning on getting there mid-day on Wednesday.

Thanks to Burt for some inspiration! I figured if he can get 3 gliders into a Subaru wagon then I can get one into a little Acura RSX hatchback. Sure enough with the help of some PVC stands the ASW-20 fuselage goes right down the middle between the seats and the wings are right over it also between the seats. I can't wait to get to Winamac!
