Okay Scot, now you're pushing me!

Added stringers to the aft fuselage so we could do more work on the fin and stab mount.

    Hi Len,
I going to both Coachella and Visalia. Coachella has a paved runway and I'm itching to test my Bidule and its brakes ......

    Great Scot........

Had to do that. You're cruising now, keep the foot on the pedal as the Horizon event is on the Horizon..... Oh man, I'm on a roll

Are you going to Visalia or Coachella?

Fuselage taking shape - quality and detail of the plywood cut parts is outstanding.
I Spar Varnished the top cabin pieces and ornament first thing before I got "finger prints' all over them

That is a very fine looking "squatter" you have there!

Hey Scott, thanks for keeping the home fires burning while I was away! We made a little 3,286 mile trip over the last eleven days.Covered eleven states along the way and got to see a lot of Texas!

One of the fun things you get to do when building the 2-33 (both sizes) is to silver solder metal parts together for the strut attachments. The metal straps have three holes and do make note that the center hole is closer to one side than the other!

Now...if you were paying attention, you noted that I soldered the nut to the wrong end of the metal strap...like I said, note that the center hole is closer to one side than the other! Oh well, just solder a nut to the other end and then removed the incorrectly attached one.

    Jim,

    Your setting a blistering pace.....

I'm going to make my Stab/Elev removable for transportation so installed 4-40 brass inserts into the tail brace blocks.

Also found the little belt driven mini cut-off saw I have works really well for all the angle cuts...

Got a bit of a slow start ....as I had some "Squatter" issues to deal with.......

The stab and fin mount area has some special parts that need to be aligned carefully (not hard to do, just pay attention to Gunny's instructions).

Dremel tool is used to countersink the holes for the tapered wood screws.

We added a piece of dowel to "pin" the tail post to the stringer. This gets cut off flush with the tail post.

Short piece of dowel is drilled out and added as a scale detail for the stab mount.

Once these formers are in place, Diagonals and top spine can be added along with the wing saddle pieces.
