Got some Christen Eagle Blue on the leading edge of the stab and now trying to figure out ..... two ....or three stripes. I think I leaning toward two.
Strips are spray painted construction paper....spraying is less messy and more even coverage than a brush.........



The fuselage (naked) had to spend the night in the TearDrop Trailer with Big Bad Bidule.....hope it was OK.....

0.5 oz fiberglass on the Fin - going to try to simulate the panel lines .......

Now moving to the rear of the glider......
Profiling Rudder counter-balance and general shaping....

Finishing up on the scale tow release and nose area....lower stringers installed too. Wings up next.....

While the fuselage is still sitting flat on the bench, I thought it would be a good time to work on some interior details like seats and side panels.

1/2" triangles around the wheel box


Plans call for #2 counter-sunk screws to reinforce the lamination for the scale tow release retrofit ...I opted for 0.080 carbon rod epoxied in place (sanded flush)

Looking Good Jim.....I've gotten side tracked into covering my Stab/Elevator
I think I'll mount the haigh style tail wheel so we can match.....

Now it's time to go back up front and work on the stringers and rudder servo mount. Bricks and clamps plus rubber bands all come in handy!

We are going to use the Ohio Super Star tail wheel option, so we added a hardwood block as per the plans Gunny provides for this.
