Those are for the solar panel array. The metal pole will support the solar panels and the wooden posts are for a guardrail between the panels and the driveway. The gray conduit beside the steel pole is for the wires that will run from the panels to the mechanical room addition where the storage batteries and electrical units will be located.

When will you hang the sign that the first one to take out a solar panel will be the first to replace it!!
