Today after a long gestation period the Legacy Turbo Duster earned it's keep with 4 aerotows. I installed the tow releases (2 ea.) on the sides of the fuse. I use a bridle that comes together about 18" behind the rudder. I think it will be a good tug for the planes we tow normally. Most are 2-6lbs. I have only flown it with 5 cells, the system can go to 6 cells.

After a week end of towing with the Duster and using a bridle to the two tow releases I found the ends of the bridle caught on the elevator servo arm a couple of times. I normally do a fly by and release the line before landing. I modified the bridle using some Ny Rod outer tubing over the line from the loops on the end of the bridle that extends back to the middle of the elevator. This keeps the bridle stiff and it can not get to the servo arms.

They are going over the top of the elevator. The problem was the whip action the ends went through when released. The first time I did it the release went ok but I could hear the end smacking the bottom of the elevator. With both the elevator and rudder servos sticking out of the sides of the rear of the fuse they become a target for the end of the bridle. Been flying on 5S 4000's I tried 6S 4000's it's a different plane with the added power.
