I was talking to Len at SERA about using the blue Sullivan quick disconnect ball links on the Bidule elevators. I didn't get a chance to look at how he rigged his so If you're reading this Len, break out the phone and take a few snaps. I have some initial ideas about how to go about adding the ball link to a threaded rod control arm on the elevator proper but was wondering if there is a ready-made fitting to do this. Anybody else have any input?

I have been using one on the elevator connection on my Ventus 2cx for couple years now...works great and much easier to connect than a clevis.....especially in the tight confines of the top of the fin of T-tail mode!!Originally posted by Asher Carmichael View PostI was talking to Len at SERA about using the blue Sullivan quick disconnect ball links on the Bidule elevators. Hi Asher.
The setup is pretty simple and very easy to use. We started using these on the Porters and since the set up is just about identical to these Bidule's we carried it over.
The 4-40 ALUMINUM Ball Link http://www.horizonhobby.com/4-40-alu...blue%29-sul591
This is threaded into a double threaded push rod like the one below
Titanium Pro-Links 4-40 x 5" (2) (HAN3557)
You'll need to determine the length you need. This is an example and not necessarily the correct length needed.
The other end is reverse threaded into a heavy duty Dubro connector.
The ball is attached to the metal servo arm on the servo, thats where the connection is made on a dally basis.
The underside of the stab.
