Bidule Order Thread May 2016

I recently spoke with Etienne at ICare regarding the availability of another Bidule 170 kit. He had just sold the last one he had in stock, but plans on ordering additional kits soon.

I put my name on the list for another Bidule 170 kit and said I would try and get the word around for others that may want to be added. Considering how dependent we have become on these tugs, several of us are also interested in getting spare parts to insure that our current models keep flying with minimum down time. Here are the things we currently have on the list and I will update the totals here as we get orders.

Why are guys ordering the main gear??​

Hi Dean,

BobM had his main gear crack around the axle...even before that, I had decided to have a spare. Did the same with my other tow planes too. I had stronger gear made for my Decathlon and had spare gear for my Porter. With the number of take offs and landing we do, the gear really takes a beating. Having a spare can make the difference between towing and watching. Also recommend spare parts for engines, exhaust, servos...no towing, no soaring!

I'd do a gear set -- nose and main -- for the 111. Spare parts in the hope of never using them.

Hey Jim,
Any pricing on the spare parts? I know they are needed, but also don't want to order "in the blind" and have a surprise!

I think you are correct because it would be a few months before he would have them in stock. This was 2 + months ago.

Etienne prefers that we each pre-order online, this thread gives us a measure of the orders submitted and may spur others to commit to ordering. The bigger the number of pre-orders, the sooner THE order can be made.

If you want to be on this order, you need to place your order on the ICare website ASAP. Saying that you want a kit or a part in this thread does not place the order. You need to place the order for what you want online, provide shipping instructions, and back it up with your payment option of choice.
