  • Wilburt Wright Birth Place Aerotow may 28-30th

This will be our second aerotow at this fantastic place, please join the party
Time to book the hotel... I checked in at the best western in Muncie, IN for Friday to Monday rate are reasonable at about 70$ a room. Drive to the field is 40mn.
Careful the hotel are filling fast, better making a reservation and cancelling it rater than looking for one at the last minute. If there is enough interest we could be opening Friday for flying, let me know if you are interested in flying Friday through Monday

Please take note that the club is requesting proof of FAA registration to fly on their premisses

Well, back from three day of hard work towing (or hardly working)

First day has been quite windy but flyable, small shower for diner, over all a good day (could have been worse linked to forecast prediction...)

Day two has be the same but with less wind, better

Day three was spectacular, light breeze, huge thermals, great treat for these who have been patient and waited

The hosting club did a superb job welcoming us and feeding us for lunch and Diner, this place is very special, for people, field and weather. We love it

Here is couple pictures selected, the entire album is here:

Oh boy... were we treated great again! Great folks, great fun, great facility, great flying and great food! The Five GFs! We even got some action by some Dawn Patrol fliers. I got there late Friday afternoon and took the tour of the museum since I didn't do it last year. Saturday was too windy for wooden 'gas bags' but okay for heavier glass slippers. Sunday was a little better and Monday was perfect!!! I got a little nervous once when my bird started 'getting small' one flight. I'm ready for next year!

                      Len,

that is a fashion thing, it is so yesterday to have a cowl and cans on a towplane...

No reallly I was speaking of winter 2016-17.... (well maybe not initially but that what it looks like now...)

Too busy building other sailplanes for HH...

Will keep you posted for sure!

                        Yeah! Cowls are over-rated!
I also want to thank the folks who made it a very enjoyable time.
Here's a few clips from the event.

                          Noel,

Thanks for this video, thank also for participating to the event as a tow pilot with your Pawnee. You did a great job for the first event where you tow bigger gliders.

Thanks to the other tow pilots : Gary, Ian without the help of all it wouldn't have been possible to organize that event

See you next year same place
