We had two great days of thermal flying in light wind, one windy day, and the last day was called off due to early rain.

Over 30 pilots in attendance brought a mix of everything from foamie Ka-8's to 8.8 meter open class ships.

11 tow planes from Carbon Cub to 150cc Pegs.

It was a super event!

I am hoping someone will post some pictures...I was too busy towing and flying gliders to even think about taking a photos...​Huge winds on Friday so flew the HKM -28 which could care less about wind...got more stick time yesterday on the big Mueller Ka6cr until the sun went down last nite for glass- off flying...Largest attendance yet at our 4th event ...30 something pilots.....
Had a tow line arrest with my 108% Pegasus yesterday and am now sitting with broken carbon fiber landing gear.. over the event I broke 3 props...I still had a great time and learn from each of my mistakes...Kostas from South Dakota towed with mid size BiDule DA-120 on cans...very impressive...we had 3 Pegasus's 3 extras and I cap and a mess of electric carbon cubs for the little stuff...

Just got in from a 13 hour drive. Some pics are in my computer but need editing for size. Here are a few. Wenger loaned this nice 53' box trailer for sailplane storage. That was HUGE in more ways than one! Personally, that saved me a whole lot of rig and de-rig time. I know it saved time for the other pilots and brought peace of mind for the pilots knowing their birds were safe. Thanks, Wenger!!!!!! Did I mention that Wenger provided this nice trailer? Thanks, thanks, thanks!





The last pic is of a 'rental' the club provided for the tow planes. Everyone had a great time!

Pilots getting ready! Putting sailplanes together, meeting new friends and reacquainting with old friends! The flying wing pilot would give Stephane a run for his money for most flights. Unfortunately, I'm terrible remembering names but he is a super nice guy! The nicest folks fly and associate with model sailplanes!!!! Paul was busy flying his orange trimmed birds! Yankee Doodle came to town... for its maiden!

Success! Back to the flight line for another go! A hawk was checking out the activity! A father/son team from Oklahoma had two pretty Topaz sailplanes and some others. Unfortunately, I don't have pics of the blue and white one. I was flying, too, so didn't get as many pics as I would have liked.

You are welcome, Tim. Thank you, Len. Yes... congrats and thanks to the Sled Works Team for a nice event. Jim Fricke showed some thermal expertise to me via my Balestruccio. Jim flew it for quite a bit. Thanks, buddy! One amazing show was Mike Fox on final with his Genesis. He was on his way in for a landing... pretty close to the end of the runway I might add... when he got bumped by a thermal. He worked that air up and away for quite some time for an amazing altitude gain! He is one smooth flier! Thanks for the 'schooling'... it was... well... amazing!
