Fantastic day of flying. The humidity is off the charts, but lift is abundant given temps are in the mid to high 90's.

Totally uneventful day. Tugs did a great job, no sailplane damage. Everyone dripping wet and smiling.

Fun day to day at the SKSS field. Certainly could do with less humidity, but what the heck, still better than sitting in an office.
Thanks to our tow pilots today. Standing in the heat all day is not easy.
Flew the Quintus today, lots of lift and even a fair amount of sink.
Ended the day soaking in Charlies Pool until we all got wrinkled.. Thanks Chuck!

In spite of the heat and humidity, we all came to fly and fly we did! Scot, Steve, Phil, and Len all did extensive amounts of towing launching uncounted numbers of sailplanes.

As for my numbers, we did 10-1/2 hours of flight time burning about 1/2 gallon of gas per hour. Tow circuits were averaging about two minutes (the SKSS field has a very efficient layout) so we did over 300 launches.

When you add in the numbers from the other tow pilots, I am guessing we exceeded 1000 launches!!!

                            Amazing 😎

Well Tony and I were the only ones flying today. I think Tony was just discharging some batteries and I was waiting for my grandson to get picked up. Home she now, but the car will not be unpacked until tomorrow. Thanks to all to tow pilots for braving the sun and heat out there for hours at a time. I was good for 1 10 min flight per hours.

My grandson enjoyed his time with us Saturday although the best part was Charlie's pool. He really likes the flying and all those complements get him going. He was a little scared when we had to get this stick out of the bird house.

Thanks to all you glider pilots for being such good companions.

Finally thanks to Charlie and the SKSS guys for all the effort to,put on such a large event.
