Back in the familiar town of Monticello IL, the Horizon Hobby Aerotow is now being hosted at the famous Eli Field.
Location is Eli Field. Its in Apple Maps as a location.

We allow camping. We have a few Electrical hook ups for RV’s that draw 20 Amps or less. The cost for that is $20 per day. Any other type of camping is no charge.
We will have people on site each day to park and stage attendees who arrive early.
We have Porta Potties, but no running water.
We will have Lunches, and possibly breakfasts on site that the club will sell. Basic menus of Brats, Sausages, Burgers, wrapped Jalapenos. Drinks ( Sodas and waters ) Chips and snacks.
We will have awards and a basic raffle. Lots of HH swag to be won!
Closest and only real hotel is within walking distance of the field. It’s a best western. Here is a link.

There is a very basic Motel about a mile away, but I emphasis… BASIC! 😊 Its called the Foster Inn and the Trip Advisor reviews look quite acceptable.

Food wise in Monticello.
Right next to the Hotel and within a mile of the filed is the Red Wheel. Good for Breakfasts and lunches and such. I believe it does stay open for dinner.

Approx 2 miles away is the center of Monticello and there are a few different eateries there.
Three ravens is probably the best and most diverse. Still pretty traditional American dining, but good Irish Pub fare.

There is a small dinner next to the above Mexican, that is run by a local lady and offers a great selection of home cooked foods. She often caters our club and whilst the décor is simple, the food is great.

We have a Hardees, Mc Donalds, A Chinese and a great sandwich joint called “ The Brown Bag “ All in the center of town. Its such a small town that you cant miss them.
Be aware, that most places stop serving between 8-9pm. Its not a late night town, so plan accordingly.
We allow quite flying till dark. You can start early, if its quiet. We will limit load tows to 930 am till 7-8 is PM depending on the noise and frequency. We don’t have a noise issue, but neither do we want one. Consideration is the main focus for us.
