Thanks so much for some truly spectacular days of soaring, good people and beautiful surroundings!
Saturday, I spend far more time trying to get my planes down to a reasonable altitude instead of searching for lift!!!!!!! Epic.
Whatever you paid the weather forecaster, it was worth it! Windy Ridge remains on the MUST DO list. Now, onward to Sky High.Team PowerBox Systems Americas... If flying were the language of men, soaring would be its poetry.

Thanks to everyone who made the trip out to Windy Ridge. The weather was absolutely perfect every day. Flying in the smooth, blue sky in the mornings, big lift in the afternoon, beautiful sunset flying, and sitting around the campfire watching the satellites.
Thanks to all our tow pilots, Steve K, Len, Stephane, Steve P and Gunny. We can't get into the air without you.
Thanks to the Windy Ridge club for supporting us with the tent, tables and prepping the field. And an especially big thanks to Gary Loucks for letting this rowdy group invade his airport.
Looking forward to next year and Muncy in a few weeks!Kevin K

For the unfortunate soles that missed the event this year, you screwed up!!
Its real easy to develop a reason and not putting out the effort to attend an event, however if you're enjoy scale soaring and love to fly in perhaps the best location available, maybe its time to stop making excused and just treat yourself to a great time.
Every day was better than the last. The event started out with beautiful weather and every day was perfect. Thanks to the generous owner of the property for allowing us to store out planes in his personal hangar, while he moved his planes outside for the week. A great guy with a huge heart.
Thanks to the windy ridge gang for another memorable event.
A real round of applause goes out to Conio for his generosity and kind heart. Conio had a ready to fly Blanik at the event for sale and when he saw this young man struggling to keep his well worn and ready for retirement ASK21 in the air, Conio opted to give the 15yr old Jack the Blanik for free!!! It could not have gone to a nicer kid too.. Bravo Conio..

Another great time at Windy Ridge. Thank you to Steve, Kevin and all the people that helped put it together. Thank you to Steve K, Kevin, Len, Steve P and Gunny for tow duty. Great to be with friends again flying and camping. It doesn't get much better!
Finally settling into culling the 1000+ pictures. I think the picture count went up when some people started putting in up and go units in their planes. It used to to be 1 to 3 passes per tow. Now they just keep coming
Had to put this shot out early. Probably my favorite. After a full day of just great times flying, photos and hanging out right into the evening you just don't want it to end! But sooner or later it has to happen. I'll just title this one "Going Home". As Len's JS1 broke over the tree line into the post sunset sky heading for the hanger we finally called it quits. What a day!
Enjoy,
