you can remove the question mark on the title of this tread, I talked to Tom yesterday and Winamac is still on. He has no work scheduled this week end.

he is organizing his schedule accordingly and if something is getting in the way he will let us know.

The Registration Form on the website has been updated for 2019, but there is no Event Coordinator listed to receive the forms when submitted!

Someone needs to step up and take charge of this event, who is the CD/EM and has an AMA Sanction been applied for???

Tim R is the CD. The Sanction #8723 is in the latest Model Aviation magazine, 08-2019. There is another sanction number in there but it is a typo(?): #18/1307. The Winamac Aero-Modelers are the sponsor for this event. www.winamacaeromodelers.org

              Hi All!

I'm sorry the event is in question but yes I intend to have it. Frankly without Miroslaw (Merrick) its a lot harder and I think of him often. His enthusiasim was infectious and I miss him as he was the driving force behind the show. I intend to keep up the show as long as I can and do look forward to it every year, Even though Jeremy usually comes.... Those of you that know me probably know that I'm self employed and never seem to have enough work. And then when one of the events comes around I'm busy as can be. But it looks as though I will be home and I am looking forward to having the event. I am in Washington D.C. at this time but will be driving home on Wednesday the 14th in order to get things ready. If you have any questions or concerns please give me a call at 219-688-3984 and if I don't answer please leave a message and I'll get back as soon as I can. (my Kitchen customers get the strangest looks on their faces when I stand around talking about models on their time lol) I hope you can fit this in your schedule with such a last minute response and I'm looking forward to it.

              Tim

Well, what started in Cumberland as a leg injury a few weeks ago ended up in a severe knee pain, went to the ER twice this week as the pain was so excruciating!
Have it under control now with a visit for an MRI on Monday to see what caused it!
But fear not Tim I'm still making the trip on Wednesday, You have been warned!

Winamac should be a wrap by now and it was great! I got there Wed evening so flew Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There was flying Sunday and if Sunday was like the previous days then the weather was spectacular! Tim R really put on an awesome aerotow at the Winamac field! He was pretty good with the grill, too! Steak, chicken, pork and Polish and Italian sausages oh my!!! Corn and salad and onions don't cry... because it was gooooood! Midday Saturday the lift was crazy strong and it looked like my sailplane was going up nose first...I swear! Thursday morning a couple of A-10s from Grissom Field flew their routine nearby so that was neat! There were a few club members in attendance as were some local spectators. Thanks to Tom, Stephane, Jeremy and Tim for the tows. It was really fun to watch Vladimir and MikeF get Vladimir's Horten III dialed in. Stephane did the towing and they all worked together to get the trims set. The Horten looked like it flew on rails! Congratulations on a fine model, Vladimir! It was fun flying but even more fun seeing everybody again so I can't wait for the next one!
