2019 Cumberland, MD Dates

If we keep our traditional dates, our 2019 schedule would be:

Spring Soar for Fun: Wednesday, March 20 - Sunday, March 24
Summer Soaring: Wednesday, July 17 - Sunday, July 21
Fall Soar for Fun: Wednesday, October 30 - Sunday, November 3

Those dates are certainly fine by me, but some have suggested moving the March date to one week later (considering the snow events that we have had the last several years).

What is the general consensus about the Spring event being March 27-31 instead of March 20-24???

Decision made: Spring event will be March 27 - 31...other dates will remain at traditional places.

Do you get many people driving cross country to this event? I'm in southern california and have this crazy idea of taking my motorhome to one of these dates.

One of our long time participants moved out west (Arizona) and has made the drive back a number of times specifically for this event. The greatest distance traveled was from Australia, but this person was on a work assignment in the DC area and came to the event as a side trip. Three gentlemen from Southern Cailfornia visited the field while working in the area, but not during an event.

We had people from Florida, Alabama, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Maryland at this most recent event.

Looks like going one week later in March is the choice. Also will stay with the Five day weather window format...so the confirmed dates are:

Fall Soar for Fun...Wednesday, October 30 -Sunday, November 3, 2019
