I noticed that a thread had not been started for our 10th aerotow so here it is.
I've been busy working on two sailplanes one of which will (hopefully) get it's maiden flight this Saturday, weather permitting. This one is a World Models (ARF) 1/4 scale Hall Cherokee II that I'm finishing up just in time for the Cumberland summer aerotow. I have designed and made the first prototype 3D printed cockpit for it and so far it is working well. I need to finish up on some of the details and print a final version in ABS. That will give me the compensation weight I need in order to balance the airplane tomorrow night. The first prototype print was around 10 hours so the final will take about twice that. I'll attach some pictures when I get it done.
The other sailplane is a ASW20 which I haven't really gotten started on quite yet. I've been so busy working that my plane building and flying time has suffered!
So, make plans on being at the 10th annual NARCA aerotow the first weekend in October (4-7). I hope to see ya there!
