Very sorry that I wasn't up for being there personally, but five of my former tow planes were there on duty...so I was sort of there after all.

    Porter #5 with DA-120

Thanks to everyone who made the event possible. The forecast was pretty much on for the first time I can remember, but it was still well worth the trip. I enjoyed my first date with the Fox. Some battery charger issues limited her flight time but she will be back at Windy Ridge with FULLY CHARGED batteries.

I have a few photos and some video footage. I'll get those up as soon as I can. In the mean time this short clip is worth the time (i think).

        Thanks for the clip Conio,

Darn tow loop broke........ Or, I hit the release instead of the retract. Hmmm, take your choice.

        We should run a pole.

          My vote is the Switch!!

Must have been the tow loop because the very same thing happened to me on the flight immediately before you! We should start an inspection program for those loops.

Awesome video Chris! Great camera work and editing! Especially loved the drag race but I'm probably biased since the Blanik won...

Thanks for pointing out the editing. Obviously Chris edited the video to show the Blanik out front.

PS, to get an actual "race". Don't both planes need to be at the same altitude to start? Not the Blanic at 900 feet and the DG 800 at 2000?
                  Just sayin.

Actually Len, you should gain more speed from a higher altitude........just saying!

Really great videos and photos !

Looks like Thursday, Friday, and Sunday were the days to be there.......unfortunately I was only able to drive up on Saturday and stay for a while.........it's always wonderful catch up with everyone.

Many thanks to all the people that make this event possible every year.....Len and Steve, all the tow pilots, and the PropBusters for hosting the event.

Finally got some photos published. Had to do it before I refilled the camera at Windy Ridge.

I felt bad only making it for 1 day this time. Sick, tornadoes, power outages, trees, etc.... But had a great time (as always) the day I did make it. Great shots and videos! Loved the intermixing of the flight and event shots Chris. Nice technique. Great to see friends again after the winter.

Shook out the rust from the thumbs and the camera. Did a little experimenting this time so some redundancy here but got to get ready for Windy Ridge so here is the album
