Well, dang! You'll just have to get in some more of those 2 hour flights on Friday! Pulldog towplane will be there again ready to tow you like last year.

Hey guys, it's looking like I'll only be there for Friday, but trust me, I'm planning to have a whole weekend's worth of fun in one day. I'll have my trusty old 1/4 scale Schweizer 1-26 with me looking for some more awesome flights like last year. Looking forward to seeing all you guys again!

My planes are packed, and I see from the chatter above that it will be a great group of friends to see (as usual). Just a little more packing to do, and then a pleasant drive South.

If Mike and Jim run out of airplane talk, I'll be a monkeys uncle. Or something. And then there's the thought of Mike's whip and poor Al. Something to consider on the road.

The weather is looking AWESOME! Can't wait to see you guys again and have some much needed FUN!!!!
That's great! I can show some of the recommended mods and some personal mods in the 'flesh' with my ASW 20 model if you are interested. I have promised DanR a glass seat pan and can make one for you, too, if you want one. Don't trim your ABS one if you accept my offer. I need another ABS one as a 'mold'. Mine is getting 'etched' due to the resins attacking it. I've pulled four off of it already for some other ASW 20 owners.

No problem, we can take our time getting there on Wednesday...Mike and I might even talk about optometry a little...if we run out of airplane talk. 🤓

For those of you arriving BEFORE 4PM Wednesday. PLEASE Don't setup yet! The club will be starting setup at 4:30pm and as soon as we have the parking line set you can do your thing. We are expecting a good sized crowd so we really have to get the parking figured out and marked off. Thanks!

I'm ready! The new ASW20 is ready for its maiden. Jeremy gets honors. I just have to wait for my Uber, Jim Dolly, to pick me up!

OK Gentlemen, only 3 day's to go! Spoke with Al and Tim today, weather is looking tremendous for all four days with winds of 4 to 6mph
Start charging and packing, we will be setting up the field on Wednesday afternoon, so anyone who wants to drop off a trailer feel free to do so!
We have 14 registered and and I know of at least another 6 who are coming. So no excuses, it's going to be epic

Tim, my condolences. I and siblings went through same thing a few years ago so I totally understand.

So sorry for your loss Tim...I have been down this road with both of my parents and also both of my wife's parents. It is life altering in many ways, but life goes on. I miss my mom and dad every day, but am comforted to think that they would celebrate my joys in life...and so I look for that joy every day.

I've been trying to post something here but the login button was not showing up. It wound up being the browser tool bar covering it up......at least that is my excuse.

I've had a pretty rough time here lately, loosing both of my parents in the past nine months. Now I'm in the process of settling the estate and all of of the paperwork required. If you have never had to do this, consider yourself VERY lucky. It is bad enough dealing with the loss but what is required afterwards is not any fun either.

Speaking of fun, I'm ready for some!

So far to date we have had about 14 register so it is looking like we will have a good turnout. Always great to get together with you guys!

If all goes well, I'll have my Minimoa ready for her maiden flight. I've got it all together except the receiver and balancing and radio programming.

No, Mike, I haven't. Got sidetracked with too many other projects, like completing the B4, installing new canopy on the ASW28, getting the Drag Queen ready to fly, magazine article, and other stuff. I'm gonna have to live to at least 100 to get all the stuff done on my back burner.
Working...
