Forecast for the event looks very good! Each day Friday, Saturday and Sunday looks better that the previous one. Gentle winds throughout!

Thursday is not an event day, but some folks are planning to arrive mid-day. The massive remnants of hurricane Irma will be over PA and the forecast has a very high probability of being right for rain and showers. We don't usually believe the forecast, but this one looks obvious,

FWIW, a good site for detailed local aviation forecast is Air Sports Nett. Williamsport... http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/laun...=KIPT&state=PA

Travel well, everyone. Looking forward to a fun weekend of flying with you!

This will be my first trip to Muncy. I plan to arrive mid-afternoon tomorrow, and am staying at the Motel 6/Montoursville, adjacent to Williamsport airport. Where are you repeat attenders going to be staying? I'd rather not arrive tomorrow in a post Irma downpour and find nobody at the field. Just want to hang with y'all if the weather turns sour.

The city on the hill is coming together. Some folks flying the past couple hours without a single raindrop on our heads. So good to be back at Sky High!

Barry wins the BIG towplane competition. Should hold the belt for some time....

60 percent clipped wing Cub with 3W 270 motor. More photos will surface from Jeff and others to show how huge this beast is!

            Slow mo tow.

Is this heaven? No. It's Pennsylvania.

Sky High and High Acre Farm treated us well. Here's a bit of Ka3, Minimoa and Arcus action...

That a wrap! So good to be back!

Thank yous abound... to Jim, Kevin, Scot, Len and Barry for all the sky high tows. To Mark for being a generous and kind field owner. He fits into our crew perfectly. To the local guys for cutting the field on Wednesday and spending time with us throughout. To Wendy and Louisa for feeding us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To Scot for all of the assists on tables, sun shades, ice and such. To Jeff for shooting what promises to be one of the best event photo albums yet. To Paul for putting on a some fine F5J flying on the side as well as giving Len and me copies of his newest DVD. To Gunny for letting me steal his pit bike more than once. To Len for being the best partner in crime a guy could ask for.

And, to everyone for coming out and making it a fun 3 1/2 days! Working together, we put on a fine event. Hurray for us!

Its clear we will put Sky High on the 2018 schedule. Too beautiful. Too fun. How could we not?!

                Thanks, everyone.

As Steve said there is many thanks to go around. This was one of the best aerotow events I have ever been to from the field to the great tow pilots, nice lunches, and even short pilots meetings to keep us flying.

Really looking forward to going back.

                  Thanks again Tom

                    Really great event!!!
What a beautiful field. The ScaleSoaring crew (everyone there) came together and collectively put together what may have been one of the more laid back, yet active aerotows I've been to this year. Lift was around for the taking, as well as some slope lift at times. The warm weather combined with a very soft breeze offered a great comfortable weekend in the country.
The tow pilots were all working hard and I can't remember there not being a tug running throughout the event.
Lunch was a simple, efficient affair with nobody going hungry!!!
Thanks to the lunch ladies, tow pilots, field owner and all the participants for doing what you do!!! Without this group to hang out with, I'd just be sitting alone on a field waiting for a tow.
Thanks for making this happen Steve.... You da man.
Paul Naton ( Radio Carbon Art ) http://www.radiocarbonart.com/ stopped by for the afternoon Saturday and flew a couple of my sailplanes, giving me some great advice on setup and thermal searching. It's a real pleasure to be able to have the opportunity to fly and learn from guys like this. Thanks for the DVD Paul.!

Scot.... Thanks for the..... ribbing? or lack there of.

Back home and cooling my heals. The comments on laid back yet active were my feelings exactly. Short lines and great tows. Great dinner conversation also, but you must beware the is not and inch of leeway before the hammer comes down. Such fun.

Thanks to everyone for the various rolls filled for the weekend. It all depends on people committing time and resources to the event.

Soul food folks!! All you can eat! It may start with the airplanes, but it comes down to the people. A fantastic event because of the fantastic people, barring the rib thief.... I heard a comment that sums up exactly why this works so fantastically, "Boy this is so laid back from the IMAC events I go to and there is so much more flying, it never stops." I'm in a soul food coma now, see you in Goshen!! Thanks everybody.

There was one problem -- the Lamborghini keep taking the best space in the pole barn each night.

                          Conio fully documented the issue!

We get really spoiled with these spectacular flying sites like Cumberland and Sky HIgh that let us store our planes overnight. Especially nice for the tow plane guys to put them all away in one piece.
