Thanks for all the kind words.

I want to thank all those who braved the conditions. Hopefully next year will have a lot more flying and warmer.

Even though the weather was less that ideal, I still had a good time.

And you joined the ranks of those addicted to their Aviation Concepts Hydraulic Disc Brakes! 😎

My flying buddy Rick (as opposed to Richard!) Lake and I drove up from Pensacola Friday in the rain. Friday was a generally unpleasant day; cloudy, cold, and windy. Saturday the skies cleared but the wind persisted. I got in a flight early, but the wind picked up and a hazy sky made it difficult for my old eyes to focus properly on an airplane I wasn't completely familiar with flying. But Sunday was absolutely perfect - clear sky, low humidity and light winds. There were just a few of us left, but thanks to Jim and Kris there was always a tow plane ready. I think I put in 7 flights before noon. Did some thermal flying at low and high altitude and generally just had a great time. I always learn new building techniques and get to see how other builders have solved problems I'm struggling with when I go to an event, but the best part is renewing acquaintances from years past and meeting new folks I hope to see again. Looking forward to next year already!
