As Tim said, even with the inclimate weather we all had a good time. 19 registered pilots with the conditions is pretty phenomenal so I'm convinced NARCA aerotow will continue to grow. Fun event, great venue and super people! Thanks to everyone who participated and especially to the club members who worked tirelessly!

Larry and I had a great time in spite of the frustrating conditions. I did manage to maiden my 1/4 scale Cherokee and I got enough flights on my old yellow beater to learn a few things. I used a vario for the first time and am hooked on that. Wish I had one of them back when I was into competition TD! It was especially useful on tow to prevent from releasing into the clouds with ceilings as low as 500 feet at times. Here are some pics that Michael Kelly and I took.
Al Clark's beautiful 1/3 scale Cherokee RM. He did manage to keep his eyes on his own glider this time. In my opinion Al sets the standard for excellent craftsmanship. That's Asher's Drag Queen in the background.

This was typical. The low ceilings were a hazard. We had between 1000ft and 500ft all four days.

Thanks for all the great pix! Art, your Cherokee II N72DG was a real beauty, and flew great as well.
Thanks to everyone who came and braved the less than stellar weather; you all made the event a lot of fun. Already looking forward to next year and better weather.

Well after unloading a trailer full of planes and catching up at the shop, this is the first chance I have had to post something. Despite the weather, I do believe everyone enjoyed the weekend. it was my first event that I never flew a glider but towed any time someone needed a tug, along with Asher and Snatch, even Chris did some tows with the Decathlon. Most of the work was done by the Decathlon and for the smaller stuff the Electric Porter. When the weather broke on Sunday we spooled up the Turbo Porter by request of George Epps and may I mention that it was the first time for a Turbine to be flown at Epps Airpark, thats 2 for 2, Max was the first to get a tow to 1200 feet, earlier that morning I towed Snatch up to 250 feet when we hit the ceiling
Thanks to the Tim and the NARCA club for hosting us once again and Rick for cooking our daily lunch and of course all you flyers for making the trip despite the forcast.
This event gets the SCC
