Yes, we're doing another Mission! This is a bit spur-of-the-moment, but we have the field and tugs, so plan to be there!
This is to announce that the September Fun Fly for Aerotow and Electrics is scheduled for Saturday, September 26th through Sunday, September 27th at the Anderson Sod Farm, 8km east of Mission, BC on Hwy 7. Attached is the Event Information sheet in Word format. This event is hosted by the Anderson Sod Busters Model Glider Club.
We are fortunate to have two tug pilots confirmed for the event so you should have no trouble getting aloft throughout the weekend. The current long range forecast is a bit "iffy", but it's 10 days away and things can change so we will keep our eyes on the target.
Please follow the R/C Glider signs to be guided to the selected field and parking / camping location when you arrive.
If you do plan to stay overnight at the field, please do not arrive before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25th . This is a safety consideration because this is the busy season at the sod farm and a lot of trucks and other equipment will be moving during business hours on Friday.
The pilot meeting is at 9:30 a.m. each day.
Once again we will be providing Gourmet BBQ Hot Dogs for lunch each day for a $5 daily charge. We are prepared to serve lunch at 12 noon each day. There will also be Hamburgers available.
Please use your reply function to let us know if you will be attending on Saturday so that we can arrange for enough food and water for the first day. Please also indicate if you will be attending on Sunday.
You will be able to see the raw video captured on the both days when it is posted to YouTube. You will receive an email with the link to the video.
